I know it's been a while since I have posted a personal update, but life has been crazy lately! I just finished my Spring semester of classes and began my Summer internship. I now am seeing clients at a care center in conjunction with a church in the Denver area. I am excited for the opportunity to grow as a counselor and work specifically in marital therapy. Along with internship, I am also taking an online theology class and working part-time.
As some of you know, I had been nannying a little boy for the past two years and had a great experience. The family was amazingly generous and really blessed me. However, with my need of a summer job, I had the opportunity to work for a professional photographer in Golden, CO. So I finished nannying at the end of my Spring semester and began working for Randall Olsson Photography. This has been such an exciting adventure already and I am so thankful for the experience I will gain by working with someone so established in the field. I am learning so much and getting to second shoot for weddings, which is a blast! Can't wait to see where my photography goes in the future.
With all that change going on, we also moved into a town-home last month with my sister, Miranda. This has been a fun transition and we are enjoying having family with us. Although we are renting for the time being, the landlord has allowed us to paint and is funding some updates to the place. While there will be a lot to share soon, here are some pictures of our updated fireplace. When we first moved in, the fireplace did not have a mantel and was looking a bit bare and sad. Now we have spruced it up with a free mantel (Thanks Josh and Michelle) and we love it!
Take a look...
A special thanks to my handy hubby for figuring out how to mount this mantel on the uneven stones! You are amazing babe.
Stay tuned for more home updates to come! :)
